Spring reset: Rambler resources for success in 2026

By Natalie Pitluck

January 14, 2026

As the spring semester kicks off, check out Loyola’s academic resources and campus amenities designed to help you stay on track, feel your best, and start the semester off strong.

Use advising resources

Make sure your schedule is on track with your academic plan. All first- and second-year students are assigned to FSYA advisors. Students can access express advising for quick questions. Additional express advising hours will be available this week as Ramblers settle in and finalize class schedules.

Juniors and seniors have specific advisors through their college or school. Students can find their academic advisors in LOCUS under “Academic Progress” and can book appointments through Navigate.

Check out campus health and wellness amenities

Make the most of your time at Loyola by utilizing everything campus has to offer. Halas Recreation Center is home to a multipurpose gym while the Wellness Center provides medical and mental health resources to students. Ramblers can also check out the WTC Fitness Studio, memberships at the Loyola Center for Fitness by HSC, Halas’ pool and rock wall, or get involved with intramural sports and GFIT classes.

Take advantage of academic resources

Tutoring and Supplemental Instruction sessions will resume on January 20. See the schedule to find a peer leader for your classes. Students can also schedule an in-person or online appointment with the Writing Center to receive feedback on papers and build skills as a writer.

Find your study space

Find study spots on campus to prepare academically this semester. Popular study spots include the stacks of Cudahy Library, Schreiber Center lounges, and the Mundelein Greenhouse. Study rooms on Lake Shore and Water Tower campuses for group projects or silent studying can be booked here.

Get connected through Rambler Resource Referral

Students can take advantage of the new Rambler Resource Referral to find help navigating campus resources and departments and to connect with academic support. To make an appointment, log into Navigate and select Rambler Resources under “Make an Appointment.”

Explore Your Rambler Journey

Your Rambler Journey offers a roadmap to Loyola’s shared traditions and each student’s path at Loyola. Students can explore activities and resources to build community, develop knowledge and skills, and reflect on life and Loyola to receive incentives for graduation and beyond.
