Board Chair Susan S. Sher JD ’74 congratulated the newly-elected members, “We are thrilled to have these talented individuals joining our Board. Their deep experience and insights will make a valuable contribution to the Board as it advances Loyola’s mission and our Jesuit commitments to academic excellence, faith, social justice, and sustainability. We look forward to working with them.”
Two of the new trustees are members of the Society of Jesus–the religious order that founded and sponsors Loyola–also known as Jesuits. Fr. McGrath is pastor of Old St. Patrick’s Church in Chicago. He holds a BA in American government from the University of Notre Dame, an MDiv from the Jesuit School of Theology at Berkeley, and an MS in learning and organizational change from Northwestern University.
Fr. Siebert is the Rector of the Jesuit community and Senior-Lecturer in the School of Film and Television at Loyola Marymount University (LMU) in Los Angeles, California. He is the founder and president of Loyola Productions, Inc., which has built a reputation over 22 years for telling stories around the globe that inform, entertain, and inspire. He received an MFA in film production from LMU’s School of Film and Television and holds master’s degrees from the University of San Francisco and the Jesuit School of Theology at Berkeley. He is a member of the Producers Guild of America (PGA) and is a delegate for SIGNIS North America – the World Association of Catholic Communicators.
Robert G. Clark is Executive Chairman and founder of Clayco, an integrated real estate development and design-build firm based in Chicago that delivers complex large projects across North America. Since 1984, Clark has grown Clayco into one of America’s top five building companies with revenues over $5 billion for 2022 with 3,500 employees. Clark is an active member of the Chicago and St. Louis communities, serving on numerous boards and passionately supporting issues affecting children in desperate health and financial situations, genetic research, and development of cures for rare diseases.
“I want to congratulate our newly elected trustees as we welcome them to our community,” said Dr. Jo Ann Rooney, president of Loyola University Chicago. “They embody leadership in faith, education, innovation, entrepreneurship, and above all–service to others. Our University is excited to partner with them and the entire Board of Trustees on important initiatives like the Strategic Plan, which continues to guide and shape Loyola’s mission to prepare students for extraordinary lives.”
