From the classroom to the community, Ramblers are on a roll. Loyola University Chicago has been named among the nation’s best in the newly released U.S. News & World Report 2027 Best Colleges rankings, climbing to #121 nationally and marking the ninth consecutive year the University has placed in the top third of schools nationwide.
Six undergraduate disciplines ranked among the top 25 in the nation, and more were the best in Chicago, highlighting notable strengths in business and nursing:
- #15 – Analytics (Best in Chicago through programs in Accounting and Analytics and Information Systems and Analytics)
- #17 – Accounting (Best in Chicago)
- #19 – Marketing (Best in Chicago)
- #19 – Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Sixth nationally among private universities)
- #20 – Supply Chain Management/Logistics (Best in Chicago)
- #21 – Finance (Best in Chicago)
- #32 – International Business (Best in Chicago)
- #44 – Engineering (No Doctorate; Top program of its kind in Chicago)
- #83 – Undergraduate Business Programs (Top in Chicago)
Loyola was ranked in the top 100 nationally across multiple categories, placing #20 for service learning, #76 as a best value school, and #82 for best colleges for veterans.
The latest rankings only tell one part of the story. This spring, U.S. News & World Report’s ranking of graduate programs highlighted Loyola’s strengths in law, education, business, and health care. Additionally, Loyola earned the Platinum rating—the highest possible—from the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education in their Sustainability Tracking, Assessment & Rating System, becoming the first institution in the Midwest to achieve this level and joins only 10 other U.S.-based and seven international institutions in receiving a Platinum designation.
In the summer, Loyola was again recognized as one of the nation’s best institutions of higher education in The Princeton Review’s 2027 edition of “The Best 392 Colleges,” one of roughly 14% of U.S. four-year colleges to make the cut. The Quinlan School of Business was also named to The Princeton Review’s Best Business Schools list, among 208 schools.
