Tassos Malliaris specializes in global financial economics and has written extensively on the topics of futures markets, options markets, asset pricing, and global macroeconomics. He incorporates a global perspective to his work and is currently studying the global financial system and its sources of financial instabilities. Malliaris can also discuss asset price bubbles and how they destabilize the financial and real sectors of an economy. His most recently published book, The Global Financial Crisis and its Aftermath: Hidden Factors in the Meltdown, demonstrates his interdisciplinary approach to understanding economic and financial crises through economic, psychological, and ethical dimensions.
