Ramblers get involved this fall: student organizations, jobs, and campus activities

Loyola's student resource fairs and community events offer Ramblers opportunities to get involved on campus.

As both new and returning Ramblers get ready to kick-start their fall 2024 semester, student involvement resources will be available to help set themselves up for success this academic year. With over 300 student organizations, job fairs, study abroad programs, and opportunities around campus, students have their pick of ways to get involved.

Student Resource Fairs:  

Club Sports & Campus Rec Fair 

The Campus Recreation at the Club Sports & Campus Rec Fair is being held in between classes on Tuesday, August 27, on the Lake Shore Campus. Ramblers are encouraged to drop in and meet Club Sports teams, grab some free snacks and giveaways, say hi to Campus Rec staff, and experience a glimpse of what Campus Recreation has to offer. 

Student Org Fair   

The Center for Student Engagement and Campus Activities Network invites all incoming and returning students to the 2024 Student Organization Fair on Wednesday, August 28, on the Lake Shore Campus. All Ramblers are invited to attend to find ways to explore the throughout the 200+ student run organization, get involved, and build a community.  

Job, Internship, & Service Fair 

The Part-time Job, Internship and Service Fair invites Loyola students of all levels and majors to come explore opportunities on Wednesday, September 4, on the Lake Shore Campus. Ramblers will be able to learn about organizations from the non-profit sector (secular and religious), regional companies, and Loyola departments for part time, internship, federal work study, service learning, and volunteer opportunities. Free headshots for LoyolaLinkedand LinkedIn profiles will be offered outside of the Damen MPR from 1pm to 3pm. 

Small to Mid-Sized Accounting Firm Career Fair  

 The Loyola School of Business Accounting Department and the Career Services Team invite students to learn about opportunities on Thursday, September 5, on the Water Tower Campus. This is an opportunity for both graduate business students (MSA and MBA), undergraduate students (BBA in Accounting and any other interested students), and recent graduates to meet accounting firm representatives and learn more about the professional career paths and opportunities to intern and work in a small or mid-size firm work environment.  

STEM, Economics & Info Systems Career & Networking Fair  

Students across all class levels who are interested in STEM, Info Systems and Economics can explore internships and full-time opportunities at the STEM, Economics & Information System Career Fair on Monday, September 9, on the Lake Shore Campus. Students should attend dressed in business casual or professional attire and may receive free LinkedIn headshots from 3pm to 5pm. 

Supply Chain Career & Networking Fair  

Loyola’s Career Services and the Supply Chain and Sustainability Center, invites Ramblers to be a part of Chicago’s largest career fair dedicated solely to the supply chain field on Tuesday, September 17, on the Water Tower Campus. The Supply Chain Career & Networking Fair is open to all majors, including undergraduate, graduate, and alumni. 

Finance, Consulting & Accounting Firms Career Fair  

All Loyola students and alumni are invited to attend the Finance, Consulting & Accounting Firms Career Fair on Wednesday, September 18, on the Water Tower Campus. Students are encouraged to network in-person with employers from top corporations and firms who are recruiting for full-time positions and internships. Professional attire is recommended (no suit required).  

Marketing, Communication & Media Career Fair  

Representatives from agencies, corporations, non-profits and more will showcase their organizations on Tuesday, October 15, on the Water Tower Campus. Students will have the chance to meet with peers and alumni interested in Marketing, Advertising, Media and PR along with organizations representing various marketing and communication fields. All students interested in these fields from every grade level, background and major are encouraged to attend.

Welcome Week: BIPOC Students & Friends Reception (S.O.U.L Sesh) 

Join the Center for Diversity & Inclusion for the BIPOC Students & Friends Reception on Monday, August 26, on the Lake Shore Campus. Students can connect with other Black Indigenous People of Color on campus as well as friends who are here to help them leave their Legacy at Loyola. There will be food, community, a chance to learn more about CDI and their resources.   

Welcome Week: CBSE Welcome Black Reception  

The Center for Black Student Excellence invites Ramblers back to campus on Friday, August 30, on the Lake Shore Campus. CBSE welcomes both returning and new students b(l)ack to campus to join their peers for an evening of food, games, bingo, and networking. Ramblers can take time to reconnect with old friends, make new ones, and meet with faculty and staff to learn more about what is offered at Loyola and make professional connections that will help both inside and outside of the classroom.  

Welcome Week: LGBTQ+ & Friends Welcome Reception 

The Center of Diversity & Inclusion invites all incoming and returning LGBTQIA+ students and allies to an evening of community building, storytelling, and joy on Tuesday, August 27 on the Lake Shore Campus. Ramblers will have the opportunity to mingle amongst staff and faculty to center the LGBTQIA+ Community, peers, and aspiring campus allies.  

Welcome Week: Faith, Service, and Justice Fest 

Campus Ministry and Community Service & Action are available to discuss how Rambler can get involved on Wednesday, August 28, on the Lake Shore Campus. Ranging from retreats, Christian Life Communities, worship, service, to Alternative Break Immersions, students can learn about campus ministry and meet the student leaders of Agape Ecclesia, Hillel, Hindu Students’ Organization, Muslim Students’ Association, and other faith-based student organizations. 

Welcome Week: Sorority & Fraternity Life Fall Fest 

Sorority & Fraternity Life welcomes all incoming and returning students to the 2024 SFL Fall Fest on Thursday, August 29, on the Lake Shore Campus. Current Sorority & Fraternity Life members and students who may be interested can join for food, fun and to learn more.
