A Loyola student ID grants students access to more than just campus facilities or the Intercampus Shuttle: it can be a ticket to resources such as access to news sites and experiences around the city of Chicago. Here’s a quick guide to some of the discounts, subscriptions, and activities accessible with a Loyola Student ID:
At Loyola:
Athletic event admission
As part of The Pack, Loyola’s student section, undergraduate students can attend regular-season home athletic events for free. IDs can be scanned at the door, except at Men’s Basketball games, where free tickets can be claimed online.
Loyola University Museum of Art
Loyola faculty, staff, and students get admission to the Loyola University Museum of Art (LUMA) free of charge with a valid Loyola ID. LUMA features exhibitions like Freedom in Form: Richard Hunt through November 15 and the Sr. Jean Dolores Schmidt, BVM Gallery, a permanent exhibit.

News outlets
Loyola students, faculty, and staff get unlimited access to the New York Times, Chicago Tribune, Wall Street Journal, and Washington Post websites. Whether catching up on the news, researching for class, or playing the New York Times Wordle, students can find log in information here.
With the start of the 2025–2026 school year, all students, faculty, and staff now have free digital access to America magazine. To redeem your subscription, simply visit americamagazine.org/ramblers and sign in with your luc.edu email address.
Research databases
Through University Libraries, students, faculty, and staff have access to online databases like JSTOR, Oxford Reference, and several others. Perfect for research papers or class projects, see a full list of resources on the library website.
Library books and access
