David E. Olson, PhD, evaluates criminal justice policies and practices to determine whether justice administration is efficient, effective, and equitable. He has served on numerous state criminal justice task forces, advisory boards, and legislative committees throughout his career, through which he has developed a specialized and focused perspective on the diverse crime and justice issues faced across the State of Illinois. Olson can discuss targeted efforts designed to produce systemic improvements to the criminal justice system. His research has evaluated the effectiveness of federally funded drug control efforts, efforts, community and institutional correctional policies/programs, and other state and local reforms.
