As the fall semester came to a close, the sights and sounds of the season filled Loyola’s campuses with holiday cheer.

The first official Chicago snowfall set the tone for winter, with Ramblers easing finals stress by building snowmen and enjoying the snowy quad. Festivities around campus added to the holiday cheer, including the annual Damen Tree Lighting ceremony, indoor ice skating rink, and ornament decorating. Students and staff also kept an eye out for the moving Nativity scene as it made its way across campus. Adding to the festive atmosphere, the Loyola chorus ensemble filled the Madonna Della Strada Chapel with the sounds of the season during their annual Lessons and Carols holiday service.

See these moments and more, captured in photos during the holiday season.

Figurines of the three wisemen are placed on the east end of campus, where they will slowly make their journey west toward the Nativity depicting Jesus' birth.
