July brought the vibrant energy of a Chicago summer to Loyola’s campuses in full force. The sun-drenched days were filled with community involvement, time-honored traditions, and exploring all Chicago has to offer. Faculty, staff and retirees gathered for the annual Feast Day of St. Ignatius Mass and Picnic on the Lake Shore Campus, while students in the Urban Agriculture Program harvested produce for the Edgewater Farmers Market. Beyond our campuses, Ramblers took in the sights of summer: from fireworks over the beach, to Chicago’s most famous landmarks, and everywhere in-between.
The Loyola University Chicago community gathers for the Feast Day of Saint Ignatius on the West Quad and Damen Student Center, which included food, prizes, and games.

Before the picnic, Campus Ministry hosted the Feast Day of St. Ignatius Mass in Madonna della Strada Chapel.
