Each summer, Loyola students at the John Felice Rome Center (JFRC) embark on an educational adventure that brings history, culture, and art to life. Guided by their professors, they explore the Eternal City’s landmarks and masterpieces, gaining hands-on experiences that go far beyond traditional classroom learning.
JFRC’s Fusion Program takes this immersion further, whisking students away to explore Italy’s vibrant food systems and study photography. Over five weeks, they discover Rome’s history and culture then venture to the picturesque Abruzzo region. Here, they participate in cheese-making demonstrations, visit a winery, and experience shepherding and cooking classes.
After Abruzzo, students return to Rome for finals preparation. Nestled in the serene Balduina neighborhood, the JFRC’s campus offers a peaceful escape from the bustling city, providing students with the perfect blend of vibrant exploration and tranquil study.
