The seasons may be changing, but Ramblers still took advantage of time outside and enjoyed the beauty of fall at Loyola. On the Lake Shore Campus, new students explored the local businesses and restaurants of Rogers Park and Edgewater during the Ramblin’ Around Dinner Crawl, while students at the Health Sciences Campus learned through lectures and hands-on educational tools. Meanwhile, fall colors and Halloween decorations popped across campuses, offering festive study spots from the East Quad to the Water Tower Campus.

See these moments and more in October’s Loyola Lens.

In October, the Loyola community also honored the life and legacy of Sister Jean Dolores Schmidt, BVM, who died on October 9, 2025, at the age of 106. Students, alumni, faculty, faith leaders, family, and friends gathered to remember and reflect on the beloved chaplain’s remarkable 106 years during a visitation and funeral Mass at Madonna della Strada chapel. See more photos from the service.
