On April 8, hundreds of members of the Loyola community came outside to view the solar eclipse. Students gathered on the east quad and elsewhere on campus to celebrate a rare celestial moment on one of the warmest days of spring thus far. At 2:07 p.m., Chicago experienced peak coverage—93.9%. The sky grew dark, the temperature dropped and the crowd cheered.
