Why accreditation matters

Accreditation by the HLC is essential for Loyola and its students. It affirms the university’s educational quality, ensures compliance with federal regulations, and allows students to remain eligible for federal financial aid. Loyola has maintained continuous HLC accreditation since 1921, with its last reaffirmation in 2015.

The site visit marks a critical moment in the accreditation process, and faculty, staff, and students are encouraged to take part in discussions that will shape Loyola’s future. Stay informed at LUC.edu/accreditation.
