January 26, 2026

Loyola University Chicago has once again received national recognition in online education from U.S. News & World Report 2026 Best Online Programs rankings, with its School of Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS) programs earning top spots nationwide:

SCPS is recognized as a leader in delivering accessible, high-quality online education to a diverse community of adult learners. The programs are designed to offer flexibility and relevance, ensuring that students gain knowledge and skills they can immediately apply to their careers.

Through a combination of financial aid, scholarships, community partnerships, and knowledge-based credit, SCPS ensures that students can pursue their degrees without financial barriers.

“We are proud to once again be recognized as a leader in Chicago and among the nation’s top online programs by U.S. News & World Report,” said Jim Parenti, dean of SCPS. “These distinctions reflect the University’s ongoing commitment to ensure SCPS students enjoy the academic excellence and quality education long associated with Loyola.”

In the fall, Loyola was recognized in U.S. News & World Report’s 2026 Best Colleges rankings, earning top distinctions for undergraduate teaching, value, and academic excellence across several programs, including business, nursing, and engineering. Loyola ranked in the top third of the best universities nationwide at #132 and in the top 100 best value universities at #74.
