
Danielle D. Ianni, PhD, named Vice President for Enrollment Management

Loyola University Chicago has appointed Danielle D. Ianni, PhD, as Vice President for Enrollment Management, effective March 1, 2026.
Ianni comes to Loyola from Canisius University, a Jesuit institution in Buffalo, NY, where she has served as Vice President for Enrollment Management, Marketing, and Communications. She has overseen undergraduate and graduate admissions, financial aid, enrollment marketing strategy, recruitment strategy, enrollment analytics, and student success initiatives, working collaboratively across divisions to strengthen the full student lifecycle.
Ianni brings to the role two decades of experience in higher education administration, enrollment strategy, and institutional research.
“Dr. Ianni’s record is distinguished by a data-informed, student-centered approach that integrates market analysis, predictive modeling, and inclusive recruitment practices to expand access while sustaining institutional vitality,” said Provost Douglas W. Woods. “Her proven ability to build high-performing teams and foster cultures of continuous improvement will be beneficial Loyola as we respond to demographic, economic, and policy shifts affecting higher education.”
Before joining Canisius, Ianni’s experience spans private and public institutions and traditional undergraduate, adult, graduate, and online markets. She is an active contributor to national conversations on enrollment strategy and higher education leadership.
At Loyola, Ianni will lead the development of the University’s Strategic Enrollment Management Plan, guiding recruitment, retention, affordability, enrollment marketing, and net tuition sustainability in support of Loyola’s Jesuit mission, academic excellence, and commitment to transformative education.
Ianni earned her PhD in higher education with a focus on institutional research and assessment from the University of Rochester, where she also earned a master’s degree in higher education administration. She holds bachelor’s degrees in accounting and art history from Hartwick College.
