Loyola photographer honored for captivating campus imagery

Lukas Keapproth earns top awards from University Photographers' Association of America and Catholic Media Awards.

Loyola University Chicago’s Senior Staff Photographer, Lukas Keapproth, has received notable accolades from the University Photographer’s Association of America (UPAA) for his work capturing campus life. Keapproth earned first place for Best Magazine Photography, second place in the News and College Life category, and an honorable mention in the Campus Environment category. Additionally, he recently received an honorable mention for Photographer of the Year from the Catholic Media Awards. 

Since joining Loyola in 2018, Keapproth has captured the spirit of the University through his lens, highlighting everyday moments and documenting the history of campus. His images connect the Loyola community, providing storytelling imagery that reflects student and faculty life and the beauty of the campus environment.
