- 3,166 total incoming students: 2,691 first-year and 450 transfers
- Selected from 40,313 first-year applicants
Academic strength
- Median GPA of 3.9 among incoming first-year students (reflects unweighted high school GPA)
- 92.3% have completed at least one Advanced Placement course; nearly two-thirds (63%) completed a full course load of AP coursework
- 82.4% have completed Honors courses
Reach and diversity
- 1,171 distinct high schools represented nationwide
- 48 states represented plus Washington, D.C., Guam, and Puerto Rico

The undergraduate Class of 2030 is just one part of Loyola’s student story this fall—as of August 16, 2026, total enrollment across undergraduate, Arrupe College, graduate, and professional programs stood at 16,194.
The Class of 2030 processed through the Cudahy Library doors for the first time, followed by a cheer tunnel of University faculty and staff going into Gentile Arena for the New Student Convocation ceremony.
