Loyola University Chicago is proud to announce the second year of the Social Media Fellows program, a growing initiative that elevates student storytelling across the University’s digital platforms. Building on a successful launch, the program continues to expand its reach by engaging a select group of undergraduates who capture and share the Loyola experience with a global audience.
The Social Fellows represent a dynamic team of content creators who highlight the vibrancy of campus life, the energy of Chicago, and the extraordinary events that define the Loyola community. Open to students from all academic programs, the fellowship provides a unique opportunity to develop digital storytelling skills while contributing directly to Loyola’s institutional presence on Instagram and TikTok. Meet the 2025-26 Social Media Fellows!
Sawyer Smith ’26
Sawyer is a senior from Minnetonka, Minnesota, studying Marketing and Information Systems & Analytics. He is passionate about creative and digital marketing and has been working on Loyola’s socials for almost 3 years. Outside of school, Sawyer enjoys going to concerts, exploring Chicago, traveling, and playing tennis. His favorite thing about Loyola has been studying by the lake and meeting amazing people. Ediz Kerim ’26
Ediz is a senior Information Systems major at Loyola University Chicago with a passion for staying active and prioritizing both mental and physical health. When he’s not studying or attending classes on the Water Tower Campus, you’ll likely find him exploring downtown Chicago or creating engaging fitness and comedy content for social media. Ediz enjoys filming and editing videos as a creative outlet and loves discovering new sights around the city. Lauren Thomas ’26
Lauren is from Seattle, Washington, and is studying marketing with a minor in management. When she’s not watching Formula 1 or playing around on Canva, you will find her drinking an iced coffee and spending time with her friends, often with Taylor Swift and Gracie Abrams playing in the background. Gabriella Rosinia ’26
Gabriella is a marketing major from Chicago, Illinois. She is passionate about digital marketing, creativity, and her Italian heritage. In her free time, Gabriella enjoys baking, spending time with family and friends, shopping, and looking for new food spots. Adrian Oyola ’27
Adrian, originally from Miami, Florida, is majoring in Advertising & Public Relations with a minor in Marketing. As a fashion stylist and social media marketing guru, Adrian brings creativity and strategy into everything he does. Beyond the classroom, he enjoys going to concerts, traveling, and trying new foods. On campus, Damen is his favorite spot to connect with friends and community, while in Chicago, he loves exploring Fulton Market and Andersonville for their unique mix of culture, style, and energy. Theo Maheras ’27
Theo is a Marketing and Supply Chain Management double major from the San Francisco Bay Area, California. He loves exploring the different neighborhoods of Chicago and is always on the lookout for new spots and adventures. When he’s not in class, you can find him supporting all of Loyola’s athletic programs at Gentile Arena and Hoyne Field! Ashley McLennan ’27
Ashley is an Advertising Creative major with minors in Studio Art and Chinese Language and Culture. She is from Cincinnati, Ohio, and is involved on campus as a board member for the Chinese Culture Association and the American Institute of Graphic Arts. Jessica Stancy ’27
Jessica is a marketing major from Morton Grove, IL. She loves the city, whether that be trying new coffee shops or walking along the lakefront with friends. Andrew Metoyer ’28
Andrew is a marketing major with minors in information systems and business of applied AI. He’s from Saint Charles, Illinois, and in his free time, he likes thrifting, exploring the city, and taking videos and pictures, especially of the squirrels around our beautiful campus. Morgan McClease ’28

Cate Springer ’28
Cate is a communications major on the pre-law track. She is from Columbus, Ohio and the oldest of three siblings. She also has a cat and dog at home, and a pet fish named George that she took to Loyola with her. Yasmin Leithead ’29
Yasmin is a freshman at Loyola, majoring in Neuroscience on a pre-med track. She was born in London, England, but now lives in Seattle, Washington. On campus, she is also involved in AMSA, A Moment of Magic, and Alzheimer’s Buddies. In her free time, you can find her baking, drinking coffee, binge-watching TV shows, and listening to music (Taylor Swift, Mitski, and Noah Kahan). Ines Santos ’27 – Rome
Ines is a multimedia journalism major with minors in marketing and dance from Belleville, Illinois. Fall 2025 semester, she is studying abroad at the Loyola University John Felice Rome Center where she will serve as a Social Media Assistant. Outside of the fellows, Ines is involved in the Band of Wolves, Kappa Delta Theta Upsilon, and the Emerging Leaders Program. Francis Gulde ’27 – Rome
